I was inspired to establish Real Taste of Jamaica because I enjoyed entertaining people; playing cultural music and making adult cocktails. What better compliments that? With the entertainment came food and I really enjoyed cooking when I hosted events. I got my first catering order as a result of my friend and I celebrating our summer birthday together, inviting friends and friends of friends. They fell in love with the food. I have been encouraged over the years to make this official but this birthday experience was confirmation for me. There is nothing more gratifying than to see someone enjoy a meal I have prepared.
